A Closer Look.
Episode 1: Misinformation surrounding HIV and AIDS in the LGBT+ Community

This is our first podcast on misinformation surrounding HIV and Aids in the LGBT+ Community. We are not experts on this topic, we are just students who wanted to explore the topic and how it has impacted, and continues to impact, people in the world and what we can do to help this. If you want to learn more about this topic please see: HIV in the United Kingdom - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk), HIV and AIDS - NHS (www.nhs.uk).
Episode 2: Misinformation Surrounding Black Cats - Halloween Special.

This is our second podcast and collaboration with another society, with Beth (President of the Plymouth College of Art Cat Society). We cover why there has been such a misunderstanding on black cats in the media, and in history in general. We used this to determine what real life impact that has had on cats today. We are not experts on this topic, and encourage everyone to do their own further research on the topic. Thank you all for watching, Happy Halloween, and we hope you enjoy!

Episode 3: Online Safety Regulation. Is it enough, and is it too late?

This is our third podcast, with guest speaker Mohamed Mohammed, QUEX Doctoral Researcher and Lecturer at the University of Exeter. This podcast was run by Ethan O'Gorman Davies and Gareth Haagman; in which the legislation surrounding Online Safety was explored - considering different approaches to the issue and whether this is a problem or not. The topic of Cambridge Analytica was also explored, diving deep into the effects of social media power online. We are very appreciative for Mohamed to have taken the time out of his busy schedule to do this with us, and honestly hope you enjoy this as much as we enjoyed filming it.
